LMRA is a not-for profit association dedicated to preserving, promoting, and enhancing the quality of life in Lower Milford Township. We are not associated with any government, or corporate entity. We believe that a well informed resident when cooperating with other residents is the most powerful way to ensure a great Township to live in.

LMRA LogoThe Lower Milford Residents Association is a not-for profit association of residents of Lower Milford Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. The prime goal of LMRA is to preserve, promote, and improve the quality of life in the Township.

 

  • LMRA is non-political. It does not endorse or support any party or political entity.
  • LMRA acts as a source of information for opportunities and challenges within the Township.
  • LMRA will  advocate for various positions that enhance or preserve the quality of life in the Township by informing the residents, providing information to decision makers, and when necessary participating in legal defenses of the integrity of the ordinances designed to preserve the environment of the Township.

Our Mission

MissionTo promote and protect the quality of life for all residents in and around the Lower Milford Township community by

 

  • facilitating the preservation of prime agriculture and farmland,
  • promoting the protection of natural, scenic and historic values in the environment,
  • promoting and facilitating reasonable land use and growth management practices within the Township and the surrounding community,
  • protecting and facilitating property values within the township,
  • educating the public regarding the above described quality of life issues as necessary to promote a coordinated and informed local community.

Organization

OrganizationThe Lower Milford Residents Association is a 501(C)3 organization dedicated to carrying out their stated mission. Its primary duty is to protect the quality of life for the residents of Lower Milford Township. Its focus is on keeping the residents well informed on issues that can impact the Township's well being. When, situations arise that can challenge the Township adversely, the Association can take more direct measures whether legal, persuasive, or other strategies that are consistent with their mission and are within the scope of their 501(C)3 status.

The Lower Milford Residents Association consists of a members that have various duties and responsibilities:

  • Members
    Voting Members are classified a single, couple, supporting and contributing.
  • Non-Resident FriendsNon-Resident Friends are not residents but wish to support the Association in goals of common interest. They are non-voting members.

The Association is directed and magaged by:


A Board of Directors consisting of 5 to 12 Directors elected yearly and have the power and duties to conduct the affairs of the Association

  • President
  • Vice-President
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary

Whose responsibilities are outlined by the By-Laws of the Association as amended. They are elected yearly.

 

Committees

The Board can establish Committees to perform various tasks. Committee members are selected by the President.
